Samad Gardens Initiative is a Connecticut-based herb farm and garden education enterprise founded by Azeem Zakir Kareem and Sarah Rose Kareem. Established in 2020, Samad offers a diverse range of herbal teas, spices, and seasonal produce, with a strong commitment to serving the BIPOC community. Their offerings include health-focused teas for women's wellness, stress relief, and respiratory support. In addition to their farm production, Samad provides educational support for new gardeners and farmers through programs such as an incubator farm and apprenticeship at Auer Farm. They also offer classes on gardening, foraging, seed saving, and regenerative growing techniques. Samad's mission is to empower individuals and communities by providing access to organic, nutritious food and fostering self-sufficiency through education.
